I get to lead worship at our mens group on Saturdays when we gather for breakfast which usually involves steaks wrapped with bacon, hash browns, eggs and juices... yes, breakfast. When I am picking songs for our time of worship, I have two methods, one is ask God and the second one is close my eyes and picture Scott singing the song. If I can't picture Scott singing the song it is tossed. Scott is a big guy and played football for Georgia Tech. Maybe someone should write "burly worship" for a group of men to get together and sing! BurlyWorship.com... tempting. Anyway, this Saturday I happened to pick a song (though in my mind Scott couldn't sing this) "Above all else" by Vicky Beeching. Needless to say that that song softened up all the men and it was a great time of worship. God was moving in our small group of men, burdening our hearts with the same "be passionate about Me" and after worship we started praying that out and then talked about our walk and our passion and priorities. Seems like that was a God thing. I loved it! Trackback(0)
