Our church, the Marietta Vineyard Church in Marietta Georgia has about 4 worship teams and a few weeks ago we all met at our worship leaders house and had a jam session type of worship and it was explosive. Soon after, our worship leader decided that we should do the same at the church, on a corporate level. Last Sunday was just that. About 17 odd worship leaders on the stage with all accoustics and percussions. Families sat together with their kids at round tables and had an intimate time of worship. We always play a kids song and the kids love to come up and dance and jump or just stare or wave. When they all went up this last Sunday, they were however a little quieter than normal. I look down to check on our baby and look up and see my wife up with the kids, encouragin them to dance and dancing with them. They soon picked up and were getting into it. Our worship leader also leapt from the stage to join the kids. It was gerat. As I looked at them, I was reminded of one of the lines from a song "I will dance like David danced" and I thought, wow, that is a nice line to sing, but will I even dance like my wife danced, the kids? They sure did dance like David danced on Sunday. I set my goal to take small steps and learn from people around me. Dance like my wife (in a manly way..) and rejoice in nothing but being in God's presence like the kids at my church. Kids! Lot's to learn from them. Trackback(0)
