My experiences are ordinary PDF Print E-mail

After I left a well paid job and struck out on my own, trying to make a mark as a business and travel writer, life has been hard. Not unbearably so but tough enough. Then out of the blue, one day our dear friend Senith Matthew called and wanted me to write for Conrad Abraham's worship website. It was not very clear what was required and I was not too keen.

Then Senith mailed me for the second time and asked me to look at the site. I looked at the site and felt that I could contribute to it and wrote a mail to Conrad and Senith. I hit the send button when the deputy editor of a popular travel magazine came on chat and commissioned a string of articles for the travel magazine.

God's work? Undoubtedly. Any work done for Kingdom purposes will be rewarded not just tenfold but hundredfold.

Similarly, God has worked in my life so many countless times. Recently, my second son was all set to join the Army. He had cleared the written examination and was well prepared for the following tests. Before he left for the examination, my mother prayed and the clear message was `God's will be done.' He did not get through the test and came back very dejected. He felt that he was a failure and did not know what to do with his life.

Before he left for the Services Selection Board tests he had half heartedly applied for a journalism course. Now we decided that he should pursue this career. This course too had a tough interview but he cleared this one. Though there was not enough time to research the J school, thoroughly we found that it was a lovely place and was rated high by prospective employers.
Again God came through for us.

My experiences are ordinary, not earth shattering or sea dividing ones. But real all the same. My take is that everyone can't have these larger than life experiences with God. What we have to realise is that God is there all the time. He is there with you in your walk on the straight and narrow path.
