Lord, forever be my shield, My protector, my guide, Help me not to wander From the straight and narrow Or from what you desire for me. Lord forever be my comforter, My friend, my counsellor. Help me when I am troubled. Be by my side always, That I may never be alone. Lord, forever be my stronghold, My fortress, my castle, Help me build my dreams On the strength of your love. Knowing that you care for me. Lord forever be my strength, My knowledge, my will, Help me through life's travails Its sorrows, its difficulties Onto victory with you.
