1. What does worship mean to you?
I don't think it matters what it means to me.  That is where the Jews got in trouble.  They were continually reinventing "worship" in a manner that would be more pleasing to the people than to God.  I have learned that worship is not just that time you sing to the Lord, but rather, a life style of devotion to the object of ones worship.  For instance, a person who worships a professional athlete will know everything there is to know about that athlete, they will wear his team's jersey, they will model their athleticism after him, and they would give anything to meet him.  Worshiping Jesus is similar. Yet many people suggest they worship Jesus because they sing to Him.  Yet they know little about Him, and that's ok with them.  So worship has very little to do with singing.

2. What do you think is the result of worship and/or how can worship be displayed in your life?
Psalm 115 says of idolaters: Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them.  We become like whatever we worship.  As John The Baptist said:  More of Him and less of me.

3. As a worship leader, what are some of your challenges?
I am continually challenged to keep my focus on His glory instead of getting caught up in the worship of music.

4. What word of encouragement do you have to share?
Remember:  Worship is for God!  NOT for us.  And certainly, when we hug God, God hugs back.  But we can easily leave Him out of the equation while we are merely seeking a certain experience in our "worship".  We can use His name, sing His scriptures and still be seeking a feeling instead of seeking Him.

5. Can you share with us a recent song you are using in your congregation that has touched your heart and why?
The old hymn, Fairest Lord Jesus.  I love those songs that are focused on His glory.  On His goodness.
